There’s always time for a Sloe one

So you’ve got a SLOEmotion bottle in front of you, what do you do with it?

SLOE Gin, SLOE Whisky, SLOE Vodka and SLOE Brandy are digestifs or liqueurs, so they’re traditionally served neat - at room temperature or over ice - with or after pudding, at any time of the year.

In the bleak mid-Winter…

They call it liquid central heating, and when you’re outdoors on a cold wintry day it’s just the thing to warm the blood.  A shot of SLOE Gin has long been known to lift the spirits and warm the heart.

Without doubt the best time to taste any of our drinks is when it’s sub-zero (or feels like it is), sleeting, on a hillside on a winter walk that went horribly wrong; when you’ve just got off the chair-lift in a near-frozen state and need to thaw out before hitting the slalom like a ski-devil; when you’ve been sitting in the cold and damp for hours waiting for that fish to bite or that bird to appear; whether the last pheasant drive was sublime or disastrous you’ve still got numb hands and even number toes (we could go on, and on)…

…there’s nothing like a slurp from a hip flask or a shot glass of SLOE Gin, SLOE Whisky, SLOE Brandy or SLOE Vodka to warm the body, thaw the mind and bring out the smiles.  Delicious.

In the Summer-time, when the weather is high…

When the weather is warmer (it does happen, even here in Yorkshire), and you’re sitting on the terrace waiting for the barbeque’s leaping flames to die down (or maybe to light up at all would be a good  start), or you’ve found the perfect spot for a picnic, or you’re having a summer party, going to an outdoor concert…
