This is the first time we’ve “branched” out and produced a non-sloe product. However, DAMSON Gin is very appropriate as Ryedale, here in the heart of North Yorkshire, is historically a large Damson producing area, with all the local villages boasting orchards. As with our SLOE Gin we use a good quality true London gin and a high proportion of hand-picked Damsons from those orchards to achieve a full fruity flavour.
The new DAMSON Gin has a rich plummy cherry flavour from the damson fruit and a hint of almond from the stone, with a dry finish and a strong warming glow. We use slightly less sugar in this product compared to the SLOE Gin, so if you like things “drier” this is the product for you.
A well known and established product DAMSON Gin is traditionally drunk neat either as an after-dinner digestif or as a warming shot on a chilly day, but fast becoming a popular summer cocktail base. Try adding chilled Champagne or sparkling wine for a DAMSON Royale.

Our ingredients are simply gin, sloes and sugar.
